Dr. Domestic?

My title is not completely inaccurate, I do have a PhD. My degree, however, is not remotely related to the domestic arts. I am a scientist, and can geek out with the best of them when it comes to all things related to molecular biology. However, in my non-working hours, I prefer to focus on non-scientific endeavors.
I plan to focus here on conscious consumption. I prefer to make food from the rawest ingredients available (or realistic) and to make an effort to live sustainably. New recipes, gardening, food preservation…these are my domestic endeavors, and I’d love to share them with all of you!
